The Revolutionary Orb® Line

Working in 3D? Then you'd probably agree that, while 2D + Mouse
is a marriage made in Heaven, 3D + Mouse is a shotgun wedding. You
also know none of the current mouse alternatives provide an ideal
solution, no matter how much you're willing to pay.
Unless you count the Orb in. This unique technology provides the
most intuitive, affordable, and comfortable 3D control solution
of all.

It's a little like holding a basketball!
Or is it like holding a little basketball?

Our solution is a patented mapping of convex surfaces to 3D geometries
through an integrated convex network of tactile sensors. The user
controls 3D movement simply by touching the part of the Orb that
maps to the desired direction.
| In primary mode the user touches the top of the Orb.
To move right, the user touches the right side of the Orb, and
so on. Alternately, the user could apply a 'reverse' mode and
touch the top of the orb to move down, and so on. Rotations
are controlled intuitively as well. This method is highly suited
to 3D CAD applications as well as for any beginner app. |

In wings(TM)
mode, the user can maneuver robustly, quickly, and intuitively
through any 3D environment. Perhaps in a manner superior to
any other approach. This method is highly suited for 3D flying,
such as video gamming or UAV control. Pictured is one of many
wings implementations. |
Both modes can be utilized simultaneously, allowing for the kind
of universal coverage that people currently associate with a mouse
in 2D.
The Orb is easily operated on the desktop or away
from it. It doesn't need tracking equipment, even when it is held
away from the desk.
The Orb fits comfortably in one hand or two. Since it only relies
on touch, there is no tugging, twisting, or pulling, required. Since
there is no need for tracking, there is also no need to hold your
hands out in any awkward or uncomfortable positions. That means
greater comfort.
The Orb never requires calibration and there are no special boards
to install.
If you are looking for an intuitive, comfortable, and affordable
means to control 3D motion for any application, we invite you to
consider purchasing an Orb.
FAQs
Q: Will EVERYONE like the Orb?
|
Not everyone, yet, Silly!
Anyone who is comfortable handling a small basketball should
find the Orb a pleasure to operate.
|
 |
Q: How does the Orb compare to a wii stick?
 |
Probably Orb technology would work in a complementary, non-overlapping
fashion.
It is simply a merger of isotonic and isometric architectures
