Global Haptics Achievements for 2005

Global Haptics, Inc. (GH) is a privately held corporation operating out of Albuquerque New Mexico.

In 2005, after a period of sustained R&D, GH has released their latest product, the geOrb® version 4, as well as a custom ORB® line of haptic orbs. "The new geOrb is better, faster, and cheaper by a gazillion!" stated Global Haptics founder and President, Michael Wallace, without explaining further.

Wallace's other company recently won the 2005 New Mexico IT Excellence Award for Best Solution, Innovative Research, sponsored by the New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association (NMITSA). The event was co-sponsored by two national laboratories and a fortune 100 corporation. Wallace attributes the inspiration for his submitted project: Video Game Science Application: Volcanic Risk to his work at Global Haptics in developing a unique flying solution using the Orb® and a video game application.
