Microsoft evaluates the Orb

October 2007 - Global Haptics was contacted by Microsoft hardware in the summer of 2007. Their hardware group was curious about the Orb and wanted to conduct an evaluation. The evaluation occurred over a 2 month period, with no input from Global Haptics personnel.

Following the evaluation, Microsoft researchers had these things to say about the Orb:

The Orb is interesting.

The Orb demos are enjoyable.

The Orb form-factoring (a ball) is unique.

Many might enjoy it for navigation and CAD
